We All Have Some Questions Now & Again...

I'll do my best to cover many of the questions you may have here, but if you don't see your question please don't hesitate to click here ---> Bramble <--- and be redirected to the contact page!

1.

What is Polymer Clay Anyways?

I'm so glad you asked! Polymer clay is a type of hardenable modeling clay based on the polymer polyvinyl chloride (PVC). It typically contains no clay minerals, but like mineral clay a liquid is added to dry particles until it achieves gel-like working properties, and similarly, the part is put into an oven to harden, hence its colloquial designation as clay.  You can read more about Polymer Clay here: Polymer Clay Wiki

2.

Is Polymer Clay Toxic?

Another GREAT question!  Some polymer clay can be toxic if they contain phthalate!  I use FIMO and Sculpey which do NOT contain phthalate.  I go one step further to insure safety by sealing all of my clay creations in a non-toxic water-based sealant.  Polymer clays are naturally porous.  By using a sealant it prevents any bacteria from growing in the clay.  That being said, I still do not recommend putting it in your mouth or prepairing foods on it.  When using it as a cake topper it will arrive with a non-toxic food grade base that will provide a barrier between it and your cake.  Please check out FIMO and Sculpey's websites for further safety information.

But I Want Custom Work Done...

Just because you don't see what you're looking for on the website doesn't mean we can't make it happen.  Bramble's philosopy is that art is an expression of both the artist and you!  My clay crafting abilities range from moderate to excellent and I never complete an order without a proof (an approved image) before baking.    That means that I ensure it is what your looking for before it arrives to you.  As an artist I always encouage custom orders -- I want the peice to reflect your needs and I like the diversity in my work.  Please send any questions or your custom orders though here --> Contact

What is your Refund Policy?

As a crafter each and every labour is a labour of love -- I want you to adore your item just as much as I do!  With that said, due to the nature of custom work, once you've bought it, it's yours and I cannot offer returns.  I am fully responsible to make sure your item(s) arrive intact and without damage so please contact me within 3 days of receipt so we can arrange for a new item to be shipped or a refund to be issued.  I DO NOT proceed with large orders without sending a proof first, which means both you and I can feel confident that the pieces you ordered are acceptable for both parties BEFORE baking and sending.  I love what I do, which means I put hours into my craft -- I want you to be happy -- so please don't hesitate to contact me should you not be completely satisfied with your order!  We can work together to make it right!

What is your Shipping Policy?

Shipping is a little complicated.  I ship to anywhere in the world BUT each piece needs to be packaged and weighed before it is sent out.  Some things ship better than others (ie; earrings ship way better than an extra large Baby Sapling) so I will create a shipping invoice in addition to each item.  I am working on a better system but these things take time and practice.  As my business evolves, my shipping policies will follow suit.  As a guide, I have provided a link to Canada Post --> Here <-- so that you have an understanding of what the costs are like and can anticipate any additional charges.  For your convenience you can also purchase an item through Etsy and they will automatically calculate and include the shipping charges.
